Random Lake High School is very proud to announce that junior Caroline Grube earned a perfect score of 36 on the ACT.  Nationally, the actual number of students earning a composite score of 36 varies each year, but the students achieving this extraordinary honor represent less than one-tenth of 1 percent of students who take the ACT.

“I only took the ACT one time and I think all of the practice questions we did in school during the weeks leading up to the test, as well as the practice ACT, helped prepare me,” said Caroline. She also filled out an entire practice ACT booklet, which significantly helped her know how fast she needed to answer. The junior is still considering different colleges and majors, but is thinking about entering a program in engineering or a related field.

Caroline is the daughter of Jane and Timothy Grube of Fredonia, Wisconsin. “My family was definitely very excited for me and have made it clear how proud they are.” The ACT consists of four tests--English, mathematics, reading, and science. Each test is scored on a scale of 1-36, which are averaged together for a composite score. ACT test scores are accepted by all major U.S. colleges. High scores of 36 provide evidence of student readiness for the academic rigors that lie ahead in college.
