Please read the following important information from Principal Charbonneau regarding safely viewing the solar eclipse on Monday! Dear Parents/Guardians, We hope this message finds you well. We wanted to inform you about an exciting celestial event happening on Monday, April 8th. On Monday, we will witness a partial eclipse with 89% coverage, starting around 1:00 PM and reaching its peak at 2:08 PM. The eclipse is expected to last until approximately 3:30 PM. For interested staff and students, we will provide eclipse glasses. While the eclipse will only be partial, it's essential to remember that even indirect viewing can cause eye damage. The darkness preceding the eclipse may cause the eye's iris to dilate, making it even more crucial to use proper eye protection. Therefore, we kindly request your cooperation in reminding your child about the importance of wearing proper eyewear when observing the eclipse. We are excited to provide this unique learning opportunity for our students and appreciate your support in ensuring their safety during this event.
